It took me a few weeks to get through this. I blame the fact that I read 4 books in a week at the beginning of May. I think it burned me out. But K.A. Tucker did not disappoint with this sequel.
Wild at Heart takes us back to Alaska with our favorite couple, Calla & Jonah. It’s a wild ride without much of anything happening. I mean yes, there is DRAMA but I think The Simple Wild just had more going on for me. Now don’t get me wrong, I still absolutely LOVED this sequel.
Calla agrees to move to Alaska to be with Jonah. They move from one part of Alaska to another to be closer to people. They buy a cabin with an airstrip and the plan is to start their own charter company, The Yeti. Jonah of course forgets to always check in with Calla who needs flight plans and all that good stuff. Jonah also doesn’t see how his relationship with Marie is wrong to both Calla and Marie. It is so rude to stay so attached to someone you know loved you once upon a time.
I don’t want to give away any spoilers but there really is plenty of drama and new friendships made. The book leaves off on a cliff hanger of sorts so we will possibly (HOPEFULLY) get a book 3. I messaged the author about it, but she hasn’t answered my question yet. She only said she was glad I enjoyed it. A girl can dream…

Great review Michelle! I do have to say that I liked The Simple Wild better even though I did give Wild at Heart a 5 star at the time I reviewed. Something about that first book, often like when we see a first movie it usually is the favorite, or in my experience. I really do hope there is a 3rd book though! Love these books and K.A. Tucker's writing style.
