I've heard so many great things about Kelley Armstrong and was really excited when I received an early copy from Penguin Random House Canada to read and review. I really enjoyed Wherever She Goes . The author incorporated twists and turns that kept me wanting to know more. I thought it had a slow start but it picked up about halfway through and it kept on getting better and better as the pages were turned. Aubrey is an interesting character. As she is having a playdate with her daughter at the park, she meets a young mother with her son and they chat a little bit. A few days later, she is sure she witnesses the little boy being kidnapped but the police don't believe her. Immediately, the reader starts asking themselves why? Why is Aubrey not taken seriously? Why are the mothers in the park making her seem like she is a stalker? As a mother myself, I sympathized with Aubrey and was rooting for her to succeed in both, help finding the little boy...
I've heard so many great things about Sandie Jones' novel The Other Woman but have yet to read it. I received an ARC from Minotaur Books of The First Mistake and I couldn't be more excited to read it! It was one of my most anticipated reads of the summer. Although I thought it was slow paced and took a while for me to get into the story, I had fun reading this one. I enjoyed the twists and turns and even though I was able to guess some of the outcome, I was surprised by other things. As the story goes on and things get twisted, it can become hard for the reader to know who to believe. Especially when you get to Part Two with Beth's story. At one point in the book I didn't trust any of the characters. This is a great summer beach read. The First Mistake is out now so be sure to add it to your summer TBR! My rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Here's a quick synopsis: THE WIFE: For Alice, life has never been better. With her second husband, she has a...
This was my first read from the author and it definitely won't be my last! I absolutely loved it! From the very beginning, the reader is put in the middle of the MacAllister family as they try and piece together what happened to Amanda at their family's summer camp some twenty years ago. As the story progress, the reader realize that all the MacAllister's had something to hide the night of Amanda's death. Alternating between different POV's and timelines, the reader only gets little snippets of information that make you guess until the final twist. It was well-written and I loved how every character brings a different perspective as well as many secrets. I also loved how the author incorporated a chart with the location of all the characters during the night of the murder with missing spots. The reader is forced to try and fill in the blanks as the story goes on. Will you be able to put the missing pieces together and solve the mystery? It was a true...
I'm very excited to share my review of Rona Halsall's new novel The Honeymoon. Thank you to Bookouture for the Blog Tour invite and the eARC. ABOUT THE BOOK: ‘I’m your husband, Chloe. We’re a partnership now and we do what’s best for us as a couple.’ Chloe finally feels like she’s got her life together. After a difficult childhood and losing both parents, she worked hard for the life she loves in lively Brighton, helping people as a physiotherapist. And then she meets the perfect man. It’s a whirlwind romance, but Dan is handsome, funny, and simply the kindest man she’s ever met. When she sees him standing by the altar, tears glistening in his eyes, she knows this will be for always. As they sunbathe on their honeymoon island, laughing over drinks, planning their future with their feet in the sand, Dan jokes that he’d like them to stay there forever. At first, Chloe couldn’t agree more. It’s tempting to imagine truly leaving her troubled past behind. But as...

I'm very excited to share my review for Jill Childs' new novel, Invisible Girl. Thank you to Bookouture for the Blog Tour invite and the eARC. ABOUT THE BOOK: A heartbreaking story of family secrets from the USA Today bestselling author of Gracie’s Secret . Perfect for fans of Jodi Picoult and Diane Chamberlain. I know you. I know you in a way you can’t even imagine. I have been searching for you in the years since you wrote that letter – the letter that told me you were looking for me too. But now that I’ve found you, I don’t know if I can say the terrible truth of what I am. It would ruin your perfect life. It would hurt your beautiful daughter. So, I hesitate – bide my time, for now. This morning, you’re running late and your little girl, tugged by the hand, scurries to keep up with you. She’s clean but a little scrawny. Maybe that’s because you struggle with the bills; maybe she’s just made that way. I know what it is to have lost a child. I pray ...
