A Court of Wings and Ruin |  Sarah J. Maas |   Bloomsbury  | Pub Date: 5/2/17 "Until then, we enjoy every heartbeat of it.” I don’t know if I have the right words to talk about this book. It was long and sad and beautiful. This book was the biggest of the series (so far) and it definitely was hard to get through. Not because it wasn’t well written, because it absolutely was, just because it was so sad and heartbreaking and there was so much fighting and war. It just took a toll on my mind. The battle scenes were written so well. Lots of bombshells happening throughout the book. I cried and I screamed, and I almost threw the book off my balcony because the pain really was too much to bear at certain points. I will be reading the novella A Court of Frost and Starlight next. While I very patiently wait for book 4, which is to be released sometime in 2021. Yes, I will be rereading the series before it comes out. Yes, I am extremely excited Sarah J Mass has...
A Court of Mist and Fury |  Sarah J. Maas |   Bloomsbury  | Pub Date: 5/3/16 "Then I would have torn apart the world to get you back.” One word: WHOA! This book was EVERYTHING. Probably going to be my favorite romance book ever. My favorite fantasy book ever. Sarah J. Maas really just has a way with words. I felt all those feelings like I was Feyre. When I started the book, I didn’t hate Tamlin yet. I thought he was protecting her out of love. I mean, I probably wouldn’t let the person I loved out of my sight again after what they went through. But then Tamlin just goes too far. If you read the series you’ll know the exact point I mean. I started screaming. SCREAMING at the top of my lungs. I wanted to throw the book against the wall as if that would make Tamlin realize he was absolute garbage. Watching Rhyand and Feyre’s story develop and grow was so beautiful and heartbreaking. I cried with them and for them. It was just so beautifully written. Ch...
A Court of Thorns and Roses   |  Sarah J. Maas |   Bloomsbury  | Pub Date: 5/5/15 "Because I wouldn’t want to die alone. Because I’d want someone to hold my hand until the end, and awhile after that. That’s something everyone deserves, human or faerie.” I didn’t start getting into the fantasy genre until late in 2019. I had read a few here and there but, I was always more attracted to thrillers and romance. That is absolutely changing in 2020. For starters, I am so mad at myself that I waited so long to pick up ACOTAR or any Sarah J. Maas book. Her writing is so beautiful and captivating. I couldn’t put it down. Feyre made a promise to her mom before her mother died. That promise was to take care of her family. Feyre had to learn to hunt in order to help her family survive. Her older sisters refused and her father was too injured to do so. One day when Feyre was hunting so her family could eat a meal, she shot the wrong animal. It was a wolf only it wa...
