Love on the Brain | Ali Hazelwood |  Berkley Publishing Group | Pub : August 23, 2022 | Pages : 368 This might be my favorite book of the year! I can confirm that I did not sleep at all when reading this book! I devoured this story! I absolutely adored the main characters! I loved the dynamic between Bee and Levi so much! The only thing I hate about Ali Hazelwood books is that I have to wait until like 60% of the book to get to the really good stuff, but once you get there, it’s a rollercoaster! Ali is such a great writer and is able to pull out so many emotions in me when reading her novels! She might be my 2 nd favourite romance author after Colleen Hoover! And of course, it wouldn’t be an excellent romance novel without a little plot twist! If you love romance, emotions, plot twists, and an academic setting – this book is for you! Highly highly recommend!! Thank you to Berkley Publishing Group for providing me with an electronic ARC of this book via ...
Local Missing Girl | Lisa Regan | Bookouture | Pub : August 11, 2022   | Pages : 421 Book #15 in the Josie Quinn Series. I'm really a fan of the Josie Quinn series but I must say I can't wait for more character development! I feel like the last couple of books have been pretty stagnant. Don't get me wrong I still love the books and Lisa is an exceptional writer, I'm just missing a bit of Josie's spark!  This one was relatively slow-paced but contained some twists I definitely did not see coming! I love how we got "Past" chapters from a mystery person; it really added an air of mystery to this puzzle!  Overall great story, amazing characters, and an excellent ending! I cannot wait for more character progress, hopefully in the next one! Highly recommend this series! Thank you to Bookouture for providing me with an electronic ARC of this book via NetGalley. As usual, my reviews are my honest and unbiased opinions. Synopsis Through swirling dawn fog, they fo...
Quarter to Midnight | Karen Rose | Berkley Books | Pub : August 2, 2022 | Pages : 608 A new Romantic Suspense Series! I’m here for it!  I’m obsessed with the Sacramento series and I was so intrigued to start this new series which is based in New Orleans. First off, I really loved the characters! There’s usually a big family dynamic in the series, and this one is an interesting one as they more develop a family unit instead of having their own family unit, like in the Sacramento series, for example. In addition, in the Sacramento series, it’s more the typical man will protect woman, but I loved how the tables were switched in this one and it’s more woman, will protect the man. Molly is a badass and I can’t wait to read more of this series!  Even though I really loved this book and I rated it 5-stars, there was still something missing for me that I couldn’t put my finger on. It's almost like the attraction between Molly and Gabe was too fast, and there wasn’t enough buildup. I’m not ...
