The Personal Assistant is recounted from the points of view of Alex, her husband Patrick, and her personal assistant A.C. Kimberly Belle is a genius at injecting the exact right amount of tension and suspense into each chapter. Once I started reading, I couldn’t put the book down. One thing I didn’t love was the social media aspect of the book, which unfortunately was the majority of the book. The author was adept at slipping into the role of an "Influencer," showcasing the highs and lows of fame, but it’s so unfathomable to me that I couldn’t relate and found it kind of annoying. It wouldn't be Kimberly Belle novel if there wasn't a twist, and it's every bit as powerful and shocking as you'd anticipate.
