This was my first K. A. Tucker book, and I was pleasantly surprised by how much I loved it. From the beginning, I loved how it was a dual timeline from when Piper and Kyle first fell in love, and when they reconnected years later. While they are both different people now, Piper’s feelings for Kyle are still the same. I loved how Piper was a strong female character fighting to prove she was just as capable as the males in the company. I loved the main characters as well as the people that Piper surrounded herself with. It reminded me of summer camps when I was younger. If you’re looking for a fun second chance read, this is it. This is one I was excited to dive into. I’ve read a few Kimberly Belle books, and they were all excellent, so I had high hopes with this one. The synopsis looked promising, and while it was an interesting story, I thought it lacked some punch. There were no twists and turns like other books by this author. I was looking for the WOW moment to happen, but even the ending wasn’t spectacular. I still binged read it in a weekend, and I will read her future work. I did skim through some of the art antiquity stuff, but with well-developed characters and an atmospheric setting, it sure will keep readers with a passion for mystery and art on the edge of their seats from beginning to end. I was excited to dive into the switch after reading the synopsis. We had a day off at work and was looking forward to spending the day bundled up in a blanket with a good book. It started as a real page-turner and it really looked like it would be this intense thriller that would keep you turning the page, but unfortunately, I quickly lost interest. There was promise of a shocking, seductive, and scandalous novel, but it did not do it for me. I was waiting for the big twists that were promised and I only found it quite long and dragging. It did pick up after “the switch”, but it still wasn’t enough to keep my interest until the end. I made it through 70% of the book and was struggling to figure out where the story was going so I stopped reading. Thank you to Penguin Group Viking for my digital copy via Netgalley in exchange for a review. Rating: 3 stars Synopsis : Two couples. One twisted game of love and obsession. A dark domestic thriller about the dangerous secrets that com...
