Date Night by Samantha Hayes | Review

Date Night | Samantha Hayes | Bookouture | Pub: August 20, 2019 | Pages: 330

What an ending! I did not see that coming! If you want a book that is unexpected and contains jaw-dropping twists, this one is for you!

Overall, I really enjoyed this book, Samantha Hayes is really good at writing great domestic thrillers/mysteries. She is an excellent writer that includes many unexpected twists and turns that are gripping. Every time I thought I had things figured out, a new twist took me down a different path to a new theory!

I will keep reading Samantha Hayes's books! Highly recommend. If you want to start with a 5-star Samantha Hayes book, start with The Liar’s Wife!

Thank you to Bookouture for providing me with an electronic ARC of this book via NetGalley. As usual, my reviews are my honest and unbiased opinions.

Synopsis

Returning early from a disastrous date night with my husband, I know something is wrong the moment the wheels crunch the gravel drive of our home. Inside, the TV is on and a half-eaten meal waits on the table. My heart stops when I find our little girl is alone in the house and our babysitter, Sasha, is missing…

Days later, when I’m arrested for Sasha’s murder and torn away from my perfect little family, I’ll wish I had told someone about the threatening note I received that morning.

I’ll hate myself for not finding out who the gift hidden inside my husband’s wardrobe was for.

I’ll scream from the rooftops that I’m innocent – but no one will listen.

I will realise I was completely wrong about everything that happened that night…

But will you believe me?
