Pretty Girls by Karin Slaughter Review

What a whirlwind! This story just kept getting better and better as I kept reading! Right from the get-go, I was hooked! The story starts out with the main character Claire and her husband out for a date night…. I couldn’t stop after the first Chapter, I wanted to know more. I did go into this book blind, and I kind of enjoyed that! It made all the twists and turns all the more surprising!

The two main characters are very likable, and I very easily rooted for the family all throughout the story. Karin Slaughter is such a great writer that I could feel the different emotions in the book! On the other end of the spectrum, the antagonist was soooooo despicable and evil I just couldn’t even deal with him anymore. I wanted him GONE, bye bye, sayonara, adios!!

This was overall a very dark and twisted story, that being said, this book should come with trigger warnings. This story will not be for everyone because of the graphic and disturbing scenes. If you can handle it, I highly recommend!

Twenty years ago Claire Scott's eldest sister, Julia, went missing. No one knew where she went - no note, no body. It was a mystery that was never solved and it tore her family apart.

Now another girl has disappeared, with chilling echoes of the past. And it seems that she might not be the only one.

Claire is convinced Julia's disappearance is linked.

But when she begins to learn the truth about her sister, she is confronted with a shocking discovery, and nothing will ever be the same...
