Six Of Crows by Leigh Bardugo Review

I was given Six Of Crows as a gift and since I am not a lover of Fantasy novels, I didn't know what I was getting into. Give me an intense thriller but Fantasy is not really for me.

It took me a while to get into this novel. It's not my preferred genre and so having to figure out all the characters and the setting was a bit tougher than I thought. The plot in this novel is complicated but once I had it somewhat figured out, I was able to enjoy the book.

There are six main characters with different POVs and to me that made the book difficult to understand. I was constantly trying to memorize things to try to understand better. The story is action-packed that guarantees the reader's interest. The characters are well-written and even though they are not the best of friends, they all come together for a common mission, and each one has their own purpose. They all have their own reasons to partake in the mission.

The main characters are all badass and I especially liked how the female characters are useful. They don't try to deny their own nature just to prove they can be better than the boys. They are just themselves.

My favorite part about the book? The romance! Although there was so little of it, it felt natural. You see a relationship blossom from grudging tolerance to possibly something more.

Even though the plot was hard to follow sometimes and it's not my favorite type of book, I thoroughly enjoy Six Of Crows. Does it mean I'll be reading the sequel? I'm still not sure...

My rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Here's a quick synopsis:
